Ushuaia is located in the extreme south of the country, on the island of Tierra del Fuego. The environment surrounding the city is simply breathtaking, on one side the Andes mountain range that slowly sinks into the sea and bordering the city the ever raging Beagle Channel that connects the Atlantic Ocean with the Pacific.

Day 1: Martial Glacier and navigation through the Beagle Channel
The tour begins with the Martial Glacier. Located on a hill near the centre of Ushuaia, this place has two characteristics that make its visit a must.
The first reason is the high viewpoint with a perfect panoramic view of Ushuaia and the intense blue of the Beagle Channel. The sunsets from here are like a movie.
The second is that in all seasons of the year there are several activities to do. In the middle of winter there is a ski centre and in the summer there are several hiking trails that lead to incredible places.

In the afternoon, it’s time to enter the immense Beagle Channel with its turbulent waters. The navigation takes you past several emblematic points and symbols of the city, such as the famous Les Eclaireurs lighthouse.
On the way, you will also see native fauna such as penguins, sea lions and birds on the three islands where the excursion makes a stop. If you have time, the tour can be extended a bit to visit the Harberton ranch, a huge expanse of Patagonian countryside with its farmhouse.

Day 2: Ushuaia city centre and its museums
The second day is devoted exclusively to sightseeing in the city centre. Ushuaia is a small city, but it has curious museums to visit.
One of them is the Maritime and Prison Museum of Ushuaia, which functioned as a prison in ancient times and has several legends among the prisoners who inhabited it, such as that of Petiso Orejudo or Mateo Banks. The tour takes you through the old jail cells with a guide who will tell you about the atrocities that took place there, and you’re probably going to be a bit terrified!
The Maritime Museum of Ushuaia, the Maritime Art Museum and the Antarctic Museum, which through works of art, models and different elements, narrates the union between the city and the sea.

The Museo del Fin del Mundo (Museum of the End of the World) is another place to visit. Through objects and writings left by the first settlers of the city, the history of Ushuaia can be discovered. The shipwrecks off the coast play a leading role in the place.

Day 3: Tierra del Fuego National Park
The last day is reserved for getting into the heart of nature, visiting the Tierra del Fuego National Park on the outskirts of the city, a paradise in its purest state.

There are many options inside the park, from several hiking trails that lead to viewpoints on the edge of the lake, the End of the World sign that marks the end of the mythical Route 3, to the curious End of the World Postal Unit.

The landscapes of the park are breathtaking with the Fuegian forest, the calm waters of Lapataia Bay and animals such as beavers that you will find on the hiking trails.
But there is something else that has to do with the End of the World and that is the old train that transported prisoners from the Ushuaia prison to the forest, so that they could cut down the trees to heat the houses. Nowadays, and with the old steam locomotives in operation, you can relive the last part of the journey on board the train through the forest.
